I am well aware that the card's travel insurance excludes travel that was purchased with AAdvantage miles. However, the benefits guide says nothing about Business Extra. I would assume the credit card does not cover trips where the flight was purchased with Business Extra; however, that is not specifically stated. Does anyone know for sure?
THANKS!
I can answer this one as I had tried, but failed, to invoke my card's travel insurance when my Grandpops passed and I had to fly back from the other side of the world for the funeral.
If ANY portion of your trip is paid in a currency other than USD (n.b. AA miles or BE points), then it is not eligible for coverage under the T+C of your card's insurance.
If you haven't flown yet, then get Allianz. They rock.
