I dont know why, but when i flew 787 from YVR-PVG it wasn't as bad as YYZ-YVR on a 777 HD, despite being twice as long in term of flight length.
777HD has different PE seats than the rest of the 777/787 fleet. The HD does not fly to SYD, so seats are roughly the same.
Nonetheless for reasons pointed out by others, I find I am less tired after a 787 flight than other aircraft.
