They are lazy and don't want to do it. $400 gets you a perfectly fine internet ready machine from Dell (and if you are purchasing for an entire hotel then it would be way below that), even if you charge $15 a night for it you will make it all back with 26 nights rental. Maintenance is included, buy a few exta, somebody breaks one, just swap it out and send the other to the repair room to wait for the Dell people.

There isn't any reason not to do it.
