As a Platinum card member this will be our first Business class
trip in many years. So I looked at the "direct flight" from San Francisco
on Air France and it looks nice. I will also start looking at other carriers
as well. In the mean time I'm looking for advice on how to Maximize
whatever Platinum card perks are available for a memorable trip.

I've read that if one books a first or business class tickets VIA Platinum card
there's a savings on a ticket for a companion. I"m not sure how that works but
many comments on this site have suggested that the price isn't worth it.

So fill me in. I'll appreciate the organized advice given. We might use part
of my 400K Miles if it applies.
