There are pros and cons to both Aeroplan and MP. There are ways to extract more value and its dependent on a variety of factors, such as frequency of travels, etc. There are also factors like....oh, where do you live? I can earn more AP by far in my current flying situation than on United, simply because I can't get a credit card that helps me earn miles on United.
