@ksandness, During my last trip to Japan I only went to one garden in Tokyo, so I’d like to see a few more. Lucky me I’ll be going to several on this trip (Shukkeien, Korakuen, Kokoen and Sorakuen). I’ve heard that who designed Shukkeien also planted a pine tree on Mount Mitaki for a better secondary view from the garden.
I think there are many things worth seeing in Hiroshima that not many people know about, everyone seems to go to the same few places which I’m sure would be an enjoyable stay, but that’s not the kind of trip I want to accomplish. Hiroshima is one of my favourite cities and I’d like to see a few of those hidden gems that aren’t on the “must-see” tourist list.
By the way, I’ve found I can leave my cranes freely wherever I like in the Peace Park, the form is only for if I want to add my name to the database of donors.
