My first transfer to Hilton took about 2 and a half weeks and they messed it up (in a very, very good way); the second, to IHG, only took a week. Don't know whether they have gotten faster over time, there is just a regular monthly sweep time, or IHG transfers are faster. My guess, based on the time frame they give versus actual times, is that they sweep once per month, so if you just miss one, it will be a month, but if you catch it just right, it will only be a few days.
