I believe those signs only apply if you're try to turn back; that hallway is basically like a checkpoint exit where anyone can leave but only authorized personnel can go the other way. TSA and AA send people through there on a daily basis, like the TCC people mentioned earlier.
I have done this the past two weeks at MIA and asked the red coat at the podium each time and they have said it is fine to use that hallway. That being said I do walk quite quickly through it
