I have always tipped the drivers, just to show sign of appreciation and if they were courteous and helpful I would give more for the extras they provided. However, recently I spotted a trend amongst the drivers .... They would tell me sob stories about their working hours, pay, how many family members they have to support etc etc. I find that highly irritating and bordering on emotional torture. If you wanted tip or anything extra, work for it by providing the best service, instead of just ranting away with sob stories while constantly switching lanes at 120kmh on SZR.
