Very likely they'll be adding Portland to LGW, possibly soon. They dropped Vancouver in October 2014 because of over capacity. In fact, metro Vancouver and metro Portland are about the same size--3 million. And Vancouver has flights to 11 European airports. Portland has one daily to AMS, plus Condor to Frankfurt and Icelandair to KEF seasonally. Both just doubled their capacity over last year. London is the No. 1 international destination from PDX. Also, the Paris airports are actively seeking flights to Portland (therouteshop.com) PDX is now a "major" airport and is transitioning from hub connection routes to point to point.
