Cfly90 - I have already reiterated that Virgin America's inaugural flights cost extra money, and all of these festivities cost almost little money to Virgin America. The only costs incurred for Virgin America are those headbands and wool hat. Denver International Airport paid for the headsets and pins. I did not even have a LinkedIn account, but I am willing to bet that Virgin America does not pay LinkedIn any more. Most of the people, who took advantage of the LinkedIn booths, were indeed staffs or attendees of the DEN-SFO flights, not even the actual passengers. I have already said that this flight did not cost $59 one way, so all of my expectations are reasonable. The protein platter costs $8 if you buy it on one of VX medium to long haul flights. If you disagree, I can't change your mind, but I stand by every words I have written here and your comment will not change my point of view. If you want to put me down, I am not going to let you do so. All these festivities will not exist without paying passengers, and all the sponsors and staffs got their special gala later that night. If you are not familiar with inaugural parties, those are for passengers and staffs and basically a great PR for Virgin America. Just like this report, it is basically free advertisement for Virgin America. If they are going to charge triple the normal fares on these inaugural flights, I certainly expect things.

Anyway, I want to add: I received a phone call from Virgin America today and they apologized for the mishandling of the event. The inaugural party at A37 was designed for all the ACTUAL PASSENGERS on the SFO-DEN flights - just for those haters out there. He apologized for the mishandling of the cases and gave me the usual airline's talk. I told this person that I did not need any compensation, but more like a guarantee that inaugural flight passengers are included in these festivities at the airport, so I knew what to do in the future. To all honesty, I just want an apology, explanation and someone to be held accountable. I guess Virgin America and I had talked it out.
