The challenge was open to anyone. I don't think there was even a rule that you couldn't have done a challenge before. Note though that this challenge was different than in previous years. You were only give Platinum status up front. You had to complete it to get Diamond. It also came with a point bonus. I think I got 1k points for each of the first 6 nights.
