I went through this already, AA doesnt care about BA Gold 3 baggage stuff on Domestic flights... they have a list of destinations it applies to only. I am on A fare actually, not F, but still should work out on the entire trip if it were one big ticket. As in earlier years. This is brand new to me.
AA first class gets 3 bags at 70lbs each. Your BA Gold baggage allowance isn't any greater than that. Both AA and BA will check through to separate itineraries on the other. AA will even protect on separate tickets as long as they are all AA or oneworld. There is no need to book this as one ticket.
