Thanks for posting this question! I came to this forum to find out the exact same thing. We are planning a big trip in 2017 and I am looking at different rewards programs. When I go to their website and check on a hotel I can see the dollar amount but when I select the point amount it says no rooms are available, huh? I'm trying to get an idea of what their points are worth and how much (on average) I need to book a room with points. It seems there may be some blackout restrictions.
I'd be interested in hearing others experiences. I would hate to go through 2016 accruing points only to find out I cant use them. Maybe I need to look at a different program.
