Just to confirm that these statements are not entirely correct. My wife and I have a shared account, which enables either of us to credit stays to our joint account without the other staying. These Mutual Accounts were allowed for many years, but stopped some years ago. Existing Hhonors members who had these joint accounts were allowed to keep them. Sadly Hhonors does not allow members to open these joint accounts now.
I obviously know about these grandfathered accounts, but why confuse the picture with detail that is not relevant to the poster.
