For the first time in 20 years of flying with BA I reached Gold at the weekend... Flying First next week with the other Mr Lucanesque, saw on ExpertFlyer that 1A/1K are still available so tried to move our seats - computer says no.

Rang up BAEC and they also said no... 1A/1K are strictly reserved for Gold card holders, so whilst they can move me, they can't move the other half (he's now down to Bronze). He's on the same booking reference as me, and I bought and paid cash for the flights.

Is BA correct and he'd have to be Gold to fly in 1K?!
