I've found a great deal in Business class from BKK-LAX and am tempted to book this rather long way to get to LAX (and ultimately HNL). The price is considerably less than many shorter routings. I've always heard great things about Turkish, especially their food and IST lounge, which would make the layover bearable. Flights would be on A330 and 777-300ER a/c. I'm Mileage Plus Silver and want to keep this trip on Star, as this is apart of a greater trip flown almost entirely on Star. Any thoughts? Am I crazy? haha.
