Thank you for the detailed reply.

I currently have J on hold from HKG - DOH (on a 787) and F on hold DOH - CDG. I will spend two days in DOH as I've never been there. I do have a connection to BA at CDG so want to be sure I can keep the contents of the F amenity kit.
There is no availability in F to LHR, or I'd opt for that flight and forego the connection.

I'm debating if I should fly HKG - SIN - DOH so that I can fly on the A350.

How bad is QR for changing their equipment? I'd hate to fly out of my way to SIN only to find out the equipment has changed. Is there any significant difference between SIN - DOH and HKG - DOH flights?
