I've never used checkmytrip.com before, only classic.checkmytrip.com when in 2011, I was using virtuallythere.com to check my PNR for VA (V Australia now known as Virgin Australia - Long Haul) and someone in the VA forum suggested I use classic.checkmytrip.com. I just noticed the travel agent I book the tickets from sent everything to me in e-mail using mytripandmore.com.
