As somebody else wrote, Lufthansa put only one person into each pair of seats on their E190's. But this 50% reduction in seating capacity is too bitter a pill for AY to swallow (the same for BA since they are selling it 2-2 as well).

I have been on an E190 in canada that was configured 1-2 in business class. it was strange to see since i'm so used to the european concept of the same seats in business and economy for short haul.

I will also add that the seats AY have fitted into their Embraers are really uncomfortable. When the seat reclines it seems that the lower part of the backrest doesn't move. LH Embraer seats are much more comfortable (seat reclined or not).
