There is nothing in the fare rules that requires first carrier ticketing. The online tool does so only because of a techical limitation.
If a carrier tries to claim otherwise, start quoting fare rules.
But you'd have to have someone in Mozambique actually sell the ticket.
Maybe there's a TA there that could do so or
maybe the QR people in Maputo would be able to do it, but it seems like a recipe for struggle.
