However, it will never happen automatically, and most front desk staff look at you like you are crazy when you provide the local tax exempt form. About half of the time it had to be addressed at check-out again.
Thanks. I started this discussion based on changes I noticed in Australia (and Hong Kong). Until now the only words in the rate description were to the effect, "worldwide government rate, ID required at check-in". Any mention of travel orders is new for us.
