Honestly if the seat was just a little bit reclined I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Also, depending on the way you pointed out this issue to the FA, it sounds like you maybe got yourself into a little bit of a power struggle, and that the FA's were more than happy to make the point that it is they, not you, who are in charge. In other words, nobody likes being corrected or told how to do their job, so this would require being extra kind and polite if it needed to be said.
