I think we broke a record tonight on AC 8934 DFW-YYZ. The inbound was delayed by over 90 minutes due to extraordinary headwinds of +240kts. I was watching the inbound flight on my Flight Tracker display and I thought the thing was faulty because it showed a ground speed of around 230 kts for a CRJ???

Turns out that all of the headwinds turned into extraordinary tailwinds and made the trip home record breakingly fast. 2:30 Gate to Gate is almost bearable in a CRJ. Pity the poor buggers who spent 4:30 coming down. I noticed a distinct limp in a few as then hobbled up the jetway.
