I agree that there are significant benefits available here to both carriers. The QF restructure is a valid analogy.

In the wake of two uniquely-tragic incidents (which would have had major ramifications for any carrier), MH deserve some good fortune. They may never get back to their best days - and I personally have memories of them as being very, very good in times past - but I would like to see them regain something of their battered pride & reputation.
