It's a USA card, so no simplified China entry - so I will enter as TWOV, but I want to use the APEC line, which shouldn't be a problem given the card is not an entry document for China.
The last time I entered China at PVG, the APEC desks were closed and I had the dumb luck to get the only inspector who never did a TWOV entry before and by the time it was escalated and processed by multiple supervisors, I was in there for an hour with my friend outside panicking that I was being detained or deported.
At least this time coming in from HK I'll be smart enough to have my cross border China Unicom SIM in the phone so I can communicate with anyone waiting outside.
