Oh absolutely. But for those few, it's a career switch rather than progression within a career path. My point was that if such perks as a better hotel are offered as an enticement for promotion then you'd expect the career path and promotion route to go something like cabin crew --> purser --> CSD --> first officer --> pilot (which we know isn't the case).
