There is no technical possibility to seat anyone on the middle seat in J, for A32S the configuration in Altea is AC-DF, i.e. four seats per row. If someone is to be seated in the middle, it has to be as in Y cabin and means that also the pax has to be for the same cabin in the DCS.

I believe also with AY J vs. Y configuration is ultimately revenue management's decision.
