Cashless is such a scam. There is a certain percentage of the world population that doesn't use cards - at least not the kind you see in the US. They are trying to just get that much more out of people with the $5 scam machines.
Or maybe managing cash, writing policies for how to handle and account for it, training staff on it, scheduling and arranging cash deposits at the end of the day, and administering loss management programmes to control its disappearance is all a lot more expensive than just taking cards? I know, I know, I'm crazy.
