For what it's worth, I applied for the UOB PP Amex on the 24th Feb via the SMS method. Called today to follow up and they told me the cast has been de-marketed and no new applications are accepted.
I don't know if the calling will now void your application but it appears that sms phone call gives different result.
For my case i tried using phone method previously and they said demarketed. Then i chance upon another method which was the sms.
Tried sms method and received the card in approx 8 working days.
