AA claiming Costa Rica departure tax not included in my ticket
I purchased 5x tix last June 2015 to Costa Rica and am currently in the middle of my vacation. The invoice emailed to me had a total $ only; the fees and taxes are not itemized. I sent AA a DM on twitter asking for an itemized invoice so that I don't have to pay departure tax twice at SJO (having presumably paid at ticketing since AA flights post March 2015 included it). Here is there reply:
"We've checked with our rate desk and the departure tax is not included in the ticket price. You'll want to be prepared to pay for it at the airport. If you have further questions please contact Reservations for help at 800-433-7300."
Can't call b/c no phone service where I am. I've asked again for an itemized invoice. Not sure why they aren't providing it. Can anyone advise? I'm a little peeved that they didn't just send me an detailed invoice.
