That said, there are now times that 738's are still showing standard-issue overheard entertainment and they've been overhauled with live TV and such.
I'm still a little confused on how to interpret the amenity symbols. I have two upcoming flights with the 73H seatmap, identical layout including the C+ sections. One shows the symbols for wi-fi/power/PTV/live TV. The other only shows wi-fi/power. Are these symbols totally random or a possible portent of a equipment swap? I've noticed discrepancies within the A320 subfleets as well.

As an aside (and I know I'm not the first to notice), the 738 F seats themselves feel really basic. Old DL 738s used to have adjustable headrests when the upholstery was cloth with leather trim. New 739s have the nice headrests and other, smaller aircraft even have the sleek branded stitching. Seems like DL just slapped a bland leather wrapping over the 738 seat frames/cushions and called it a day.
