I did not say anything to the crew. I put my eyeshades on and just tried to sleep. However, since I didn't want to get up (I was comfy!) I kept checking by lifting my eyeshades up although we all know they let a bit of light in if its not dimmed in the cabin.

Eyeshades or not, it is much easier to sleep with the cabin lights out/dimmed.

They definitely did not make any announcements about faulty lighting, though.

Anyway, I guess since I didn't ask then it probably is my fault.
