I'm a big fan of the 44A and 44J seats on those planes. I've never found the protruding exit door a problem - I still get a wall to lean against and don't have to bother my neighbors when getting up. And the bathroom is right there (pluses and minuses to that obviously) Be careful as the 44 D-E-F seats typically have a bassinet fixture for infants on the wall in front of the seats.
