The CSM will only know whether it's your first trip as a Silver Card Holder if the message is sent to the iPad. Even then, these personal recognition messages are time permitting and whether it's appropriate to deliver them. I don't remember when I have operated adhoc flights out of LGW whether the personal recognition messages were sent to the iPad or not, but think they are. I know lots of the apps on our iPads are playing up at the moment and lots of flights have had to go back to the old money way of doing things with paper Passenger Information Lists and paper copies of incident reports.
