Just stayed here last week, and I was very impressed.

My usual choice in Hamburg is the Park Hyatt, but I was with a client and he was staying here so I did as well. As others have said, the rooms and public areas are fresh, clean and spotless. The lobby is quite impressive, and the staff and service is very friendly. I had booked a basic room and was upgraded (Diamond benefit) to a two-room suite/apartment which took a while to find, but which was very nice (separate bedroom, kitchenette/dining table, and living area). The bar is buzzing and staffed by a man who knows his drinks well. There is no lounge so free full breakfast in the Slowman restaurant. Can't really find a fault for €149, so Im sure I'll be back. It's the best Hilton I've come across in Germany.

All of this is even more amazing for those people who remember what a complete dump this building was when it was a Maritim.
