Wondering if anyone has had recent success with getting a EC seat on KLM using DL status as the most recent post about this I can find is from 2014 (above).

Looking at booking JFK - AMS (DL 9347 operated by KLM) and then on to TXL in May and wonder if I can get a guaranteed EC seat on the KLM JFK - AMS portion with my DL DM status. Sounds like folks have had mixed results in the past and if that's still the case I would rather go JFK - FRA operated by Delta to secure a C+ seat and then get a cheap flight FRA - BER on a different airline.

Any advice much appreciated!
