Yeah UA clubs aren't even worth $2, you actually have a much calmer/better experience out in the terminal (with much better food options as well).
When the US air carriers change their lounges to match that of international air carriers, then I might change my opinion.
I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. I know everyone has different standards and expectations, but the clubs, even in their current state, are still a respite from the noise and crowds at most airports.
