sbm12, 8 pieces will be covered with the baggage allowance. I will have to pay excess baggage fees for 3-4 pieces.

Javelin, I am now thinking about buying some throwaway bags to reduce the number of boxes.

Another option I was looking into was using the luggage storage at terminal 4 to drop the stuff off a day earlier to avoid some anxiety.
