#%*#! Bug Spray on planes! Why?

I landed in Delhi in the wee hours of this morning and 30 minutes before landing they announces that due to World Health Organization regs, they had to spray us. What a crock- I thought they quit that years ago! It's hard on the FAs, who sure get more of it than I got, kills the occasional person with severe respiratory problems, and is pretty much ineffective. Does it get the stuff in your suitcase? No. Does it get the stuff in the overhead bin? No. And what dangerous carriers of odious diseases were buzzing around London when I left?

I'm not a hypochondriac but I hate aerosol sprays and suspicious chemiclas. Why do they still do this?

(The good news: had a great day in Delhi although the bicycle rickshaw trip gave me a few new grey hairs. LOVE the food.)
