Yep! Been doing it for 2-3 years now with an RTL DVB from Nooelec.com I also do the FlightAware/FR24 thing too for the free accounts.

I'd get a few planes here or there with the antenna in my window, but eventually I made a quick antenna out of a coat hanger & some coax and put it on the roof of my office's building and the signals started to pour in.

I also carry a DVB stick in my carry-on as well. All sorts of fun stuff to listen to around an airport.
