On an Alamo agreement I had it said that if the car is returned late, the entire rental could be refigured at a higher rate. The same agreement also itemized an extra hour charge and an extra day charge. I didn't try to see whether the presence of the published extra hour charge implies that that is all they can charge i fyou are an hourlate. (My plane departed sooner)
