I too hope that this is not a permanent change. Whilst all 'pop' tastes the same to some, for many they have a brand and variety of choice and it's not interchangeable with another.

My preferred drink is Diet Coke and I'm picky enough, that I don't like DC made at most European bottling plants, including Northern Ireland. It's Uxbridge's finest or something else for me.

Before I'm decried as uber picky, it's worth noting that the syrup recipe does vary in different locations and so of course does the water. It's capable of producing a very different taste.
