as an fyi, the previous manager--the terrific carl emberson, who was quite visible around the property and a real pro at engaging with guests--recently moved on, and there's a new GM there now, james hughes (who may be equally charming, i don't know).

i agree with the comment about the connecting doors in suites. on an anniversary stay for my folks, they 'upgraded' my parents to a suite with a connecting door to OUR room. um, no. ew. we happily moved a few buildings over.
