Is this a valid one-way award ticket routing?
Looking to book a *A intra-Asia award ticket in J for 20k KF miles (+$100 to buy a stopover). Does this routing qualify?
DPS -> BKK (layover) -> HKT($100 stopover) -> SIN(layover) -> MNL (destination)
The DPS-BKK-HKT leg would be Thai Airways, and HKT-SIN-MNL would be Singapore Air, with HKT-BKK-MNL also an option on Thai Airways.
The motivation for this routing is that the long legs (DPS-BKK and SIN-MNL) would be on lie-flat business seats instead of the regional recliner or angle-flat seats (yes, 1st world problems =P)
I know that some might consider it a RT ticket with DPS as the departure, HKT as the destination and an open jaw return to MNL, but since Indonesia is Southeast Asia 1 and Thailand/Philippines is Asia 2, would Singapore Airlines have any other options but to consider this a one way ticket? I don't believe there are any shorter routes to HKT from DPS other than though SIN on SQ or BKK on TG. There are no direct flights (other than on some LCCs)
