I am planning a trip with my new wife to Belize as I have heard amazing things.

Would May be a bad month to go? Does the hurricane/rain season start towards the end of May or earlier? Am I right in assuming the earlier we go the better?

And if anyone has any recommendations of places to stay on the cayes that would be appreciated.
