You can cancel the BS, select the "hold for future use", use the PNR to buy the WGA and the leftover funds will remain usable or refundable for a year after the BS purchase. If you wish to return them to the original purchaser, a phone call to SW will painlessly make that happen.
I don't know or want to know your circumstances, so no judgments here. I've been stiffed $$ by clients that once paid my airfare directly and I would have no problem using any leftover funds.
