I searched Google for "how to get to Capri" and got this":
<font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2">How to get to Capri

NAPLES HAS TWO PLACES TO GO TO CAPRI: From the pier in Mergellina or from the pier Molo Beverello

From Capodichino Airport to the pier:

- take a taxi to the harbour where your ship leaves from

or

- take the shuttle bus to downtown (Piazza Municipio) then walk to Molo Beverello. The fare is 10.000 lire and it leaves approximately every 30/40 minutes (buy your before boarding the bus).

From the train station "Mergellina" to the pier:

- if you leave from Mergellina pier, walk (700 mt.), or take a taxi

- if you leave from Molo Beverello, take a taxi (approximate cost 15.000 lire) or take bus No. (buy your bus ticket Giranapoli, 1.500 lire, before boarding the bus)

Note: the Italian Railways timetable is available on http://orario.fs-on-line.com/.

From the train station "Napoli Centrale" to the pier:

- if you leave from Mergellina pier, take the subway ("metropolitana") to Napoli Mergellina, which is both a train and a subway station (buy your ticket Giranapoli, 1.500 lire, before boarding).

- if you leave from Molo Beverello, either take a taxi (approximate cost 15.000 lire) or take tram (=streetcar) No. 1 (buy your bus ticket Giranapoli, 1.500 lire, before boarding the bus)

Hydrofoil (suggested): hydrofoils leave either from the pier in Mergellina or from the pier Molo Beverello. The ride from Naples to Capri Marina Grande takes about 30 minutes.
