A little help? I'm a complete newbie to QF.

I'm travelling on the refreshed 747 (business in the nose) ... I've made my way through this thread and I've been through the thread on the refresh. Can't see specific answers to my questions ...

I've snagged 14A on the upper deck as my seat for now. Seems like a reasonable seat - exit row so easy to get out of.

However, 1A/K is still available and I am tempted to move into one of those seats. I'm a solo traveler. I've done the upper deck a few times on BA ... so that's not a novelty. The front of the plane however ...

The one thing I really can't seem to wrap my head around is how easy it is to move in and out of these seats without disturbing your seat mate.

All the photos I'm seeing would suggest that if you're in 1K - you're blocked in if the person in 1J wants to sleep.

Am I right in that?

Any opinions on this from the perspective of a solo traveller? (I've seen a few posts referring to couples)
