I don't know what the proper etiquette is regarding travelling with an associate. I have my system down to a science, from what to pack, what to wear, where to exit the airport shuttle, etc. I have no problem going straight to the 1K line when they're GM. I either wait, or head to the gate. I like to get to the gate area or club and wait there, usually with a snack.
